Christmas sparkle

A packed December diary calls for sparkling sequins. glittering decorations …no need to wait till nightfall.

I find Christmas dressing overrated. Shops look so festive and tempting. Let’s face it: All those mini skirts and sequin dresses are not designed for us middle-aged beauties. Above mixing vintage faux fur with a silver knee-length skirt a look for any age.

What’s the alternative? A stunning coat in a seasonal colour radiates both sophistication and cosiness. For a delightful early Christmas lunch, I paired my elegant red Chanel bag with chic Miu Miu burgundy shoes, creating a perfect festive look.

Denim is always a great choice for a casual shopping day. I purchased the button-up jacket second-hand at Portobello Market. Since I have a lot of camel-coloured pieces in my wardrobe, I knew it would pair well with almost anything. Right now, I'm in Knightsbridge, just a short walk from my home in London. The area is vibrant with red, green, and gold hues, making it hard to resist taking a selfie.

If I have to attend an event that requires sequins, I rely on what I already have in my wardrobe. This pink outfit comes out every Christmas. It's that time of year when almost anything goes, so why not stand out? While most people opt for black, come on—it's Christmas at The Ivy! For 50 weeks of the year, the sparkles are packed away, but now it is time to unleash them

While I might not be a fan of late nights or social outings—unless it's a convenient taxi straight to my door—some occasions call for something special. Recently, when the temperature dropped to zero degrees, I made a stylish choice by swapping my sparkly sandals for comfy suede boots. I discovered an impressive bow tie jacket at the local supermarket near the bakery, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Who would have thought you could find fabulous glamour next to your mince pies? It also paired perfectly with my white skirt and slip dress, making it an undeniable winner for any occasion.

Every holiday season, that one Christmas dress becomes our go-to choice. You can achieve a truly enchanting look by adding a stylish wrap or a luxurious faux fur shrug. Enhance your outfit with stunning jewellery, a chic bag, or an eye-catching scarf to create the ultimate wow factor. Opting for an elegant, unfussy design in a neutral hue opens the door to endless colour combinations, making your holiday style effortlessly captivating.

Christmas is nearly here a time for family, friends & a chance to remember those we love and miss so dearly.

see you in January
