Transitional Chic

You can sense changes all around a new UK Government is just one of many across the globe undergoing significant transitional reforms. August gives way to September, heralding the arrival of the latest fashion trends.

Please excuse the mess. As an influencer, I have just received some fabulous chunky scarves and knitwear sets for the Autumn season that I'm eager to showcase. It may seem odd to plan for the Autumn months and shoot photos in a heatwave, but brands & websites are using images now.

After a disappointing summer that never really started, I'm sure I'm not the only one packing away unworn clothes that didn't even leave the apartment. I'm adding new purchases to mood boards for easy styling and wardrobe organization. Browns, tan, and a warm chocolate palette are starting to become more prominent.

I received this beautiful thick boucle skirt and couldn't contain my enthusiasm. I couldn't wait to pair it with basic items. When autumn comes, I plan to wear it with chocolate brown suede boots. The key is to gently transition from summer fabrics and adjust the length when necessary.

I am determined to wear flat shoes throughout autumn. The options are exciting and elegant - including beige, black, and rich, indulgent brown shades. The next pair I have my eye on is a leopard print ballerina. I have also found matching accessories. Never underestimate the power of a statement belt.

Soft transition knits, especially dresses, are expected to be popular this fall, along with twin sets. Keeping everything neutral with stunning accessories or luxurious long boots gives the autumn a lavish feel.

At ASOS, this checkered knit for Fall 24 looks almost vintage. While stripes and animal prints are classic, I wanted something eye-catching that would complement the M&S trousers. The Kelly bag is the oldest from my collection 30 years on & still just as fabulous.

Here are some recent images from my social media feed. I've been wearing silk cardigans with Merino wool knits, soft camisoles and shorts. Layering is important for transitioning between different weather conditions and sticking to a neutral colour palette.

The faux fur gilet is making a triumphant comeback for Autumn, with new variations available at Mango, Zara, and Asos after its significant presence throughout the summer.

Fifty shades of brown. By colour-blocking a richness of deliciousness the textures, colours & effortlessly chic trousers allow for the transition into Fall 2024 by introducing key elements that work together as Summer fades. Reworked below with a vintage cotton dress its versatility obvious.

I love exploring the boutiques and department stores in London, especially Chanel, Dior, and Miu-Miu. I can always find inspiring styles, beautiful colours, and a preview of upcoming trends. The Dior coats below are so chic, and the minimalist white style is elegant and classy. Even though I don't need more bags, I have a serious crush on these beautiful bangles. They are definitely at the top of my mood board.

The final hot days of August are here now, but the coming months look promising, exciting and oh so chic.

See you in September Tina.
