Vacation chic.

When I travel, I always pack a fantasy wardrobe. It's my holiday, my escape from real life, from the city to the coast. I'm visiting Devon for warm beach days and the annual swimsuit reveal. Here's what works for me

Cherished vintage lace and beach-dried hair. The only beauty product required is sunscreen. I indulged in books or wandered around local attractions. If you live in a major city, the silence and pace of life take time to adjust to. The shops finishing at 5 pm and Sunday being closed surprised me. The shops in my neighbourhood are open 24 hours, as well as the transport. When I inquired at the desk for an Uber, the clerk hailed with laughter.

Enjoying the beach in the early morning, my skin radiant and the faint scent of seaweed in the sea breeze. The days of bikinis are behind me, replaced by unfussy swimsuits. Varicose veins, stretch marks - it's taken me almost 58 years to get here. I may not be entirely at ease, but then again, who is?

I kept my beach look minimal using swimsuits, shorts & some stylish vintage-themed jewellery. I didn’t want to draw too much attention sitting among the rocks wearing my Eyekeeper glasses.

I packed 4 swimsuits and chose a black one with a stylish metallic gold stripe for instant glamour, which I paired with gold earrings. I never take any valuable accessories to the beach, so these earrings were from Primark and easily replaceable. The beach bag was a gift that came with a perfume of no value, but it's easy to maintain, especially with damp sand and sun oil residue..

Leopard and zebra prints are stunning with a tan. In the evening, I rocked white denim pants and black shorts with classic prints. When I glance at these pictures, it's the hair that catches my eye. There's something special about taking a natural approach to a carefree holiday. No makeup or nail polish – it felt incredible to just be myself.

Absolutely nothing looks more chic and elegant for Summer than a full-on white outfit! I didn't bother bringing anything new for my holiday—it's a wardrobe staple look that never goes out of style. Visiting a harbour, taking a boat, savouring an ice cream—oh, the sheer joy of a holiday.

The set I bought from Marks and Spencer earlier this year has been a summer essential. I have worn the shorts with several black and white tops, and the top goes well with everything. It was a total success, and it cost me less than £30.

Fueling my obsession with wearing flats, I carefully selected a few pairs to bring along. Anticipating daily beach visits and casual attire, I'm thrilled to report that I made use of every single pair.

Never underestimate the impact of a bold statement stripe! It's easy to style, cost-effective, and always chic, especially on a sunny vacation. I packed various options for different days.

.Embracing the new season with excitement: bidding farewell to summer, feeling revitalized for autumn, and eagerly planning stylish fall outfits. Fondly reminiscing about a summer adorned with pompoms... hello September.
