Why it’s chic to wear flats again

There is nothing more Chic than easy elegant shoes. Gorgeous flat polished ballerinas with mesh, velvet or dazzling rhinestone designs. The simplest way to enhance a basic outfit. It's almost like a feeling of freedom after Summers of stack heels.

I'm obsessed with mesh pumps. Alaia created this widely copied, leather-trimmed, breathable design, and after plenty of window shopping, I've lost count of the number of times I've been stopped and asked for details. I wanted something soft for walking around the City these have been my most worn.

This metallic gold is chic. From Net-a-Porter also in silver – worth the investment. The colour is incredibly versatile. I love pairing the gold with black trousers. It's a fresh, vibrant look and the perfect excuse to break out the gold jewellery. Don't forget to wear a beautiful toenail polish with these. I can't wait to rock these throughout the summer!

These shoes are practical, comfortable, and versatile. They can be styled with anything in my wardrobe, whether it's shorts, jeans, or dresses. They are perfect for adding a touch of glamour in the evening or for casual strolls through Hyde Park. It's no wonder I'm obsessed with them.

I've recently reignited my love for chunky jewellery. If you've checked out the jewellery section in the menu, you'll notice that costume jewellery is a personal favourite of mine. I find that a great tan, low-cut dresses, or vests provide the perfect opportunity for adornment. The stunning bracelet featured above is from the V&A museum

Sometimes it's not just about the appearance, but the little details. When I put on the outfit above, it all started with a bracelet. The shirt from Mango is a total pain to iron – I can never seem to get the neckline right. But after 30 minutes of wrestling with the ironing board, I managed to make it look somewhat presentable. The bracelet from Portobello is from my leopard collection. (read more on the jewellery section)

Parisian Chic

The Mary Jane collection from Chanel, featuring these cute flats, is dominating sales over their traditional ballet styles this summer. The timeless toecap detail exudes sophistication, elevating any look with polish.

Inspired by delving into my wardrobe I remembered my battered but well-loved Chanel espadrilles that deserved another outing. Very naughtily I have not looked after them as well as I could have. Painstakingly I have glued the front of them

Updating a classic or replacing it with a slightly different finish creates a quick, refreshed look. Always opting for a neutral or easily styled palette has not only saved me time getting dressed but also saved me money. Below are my top picks.

This season, my wardrobe is calling for a new addition - casuals, like the stylish raffia wicker option above. Strangely, I haven't added any clothes yet. Could this be the moment where I finally say enough is enough?

Prada has released a captivating collection of woven baskets, chunky sandals, and Birkenstock-style beach shoes. I visited the stores in Harrods and Westfield, but after seeing the sleek collection of ballerinas, these now seemed heavy and unfeminine.

.I've brought back to life these classic Zara slip-on shoes that I bought from a charity shop a few years ago. I've been eagerly waiting to wear them in. After getting the brown leather trimming, they go perfectly with the linen and the silk trousers mentioned above.

French Sole produces a range of ballet shoes for all occasions. These delicate, soft pumps add a final touch to everyday summer styling. The past few years, I have purchased many shoes for the warmer months, but they were high, strappy, and impractical for daily life. Don’t get me wrong, I adore them, but oh my goodness, the reality was heart over common sense

This summer, I prioritized comfort by choosing flats over 3-inch heels for the freedom and ease they offer.

And now, it's time to start looking for those perfect flat winter boots !!!
