Nostalgic Chic.
When Grazia Italia ran this feature last week the “Hottest Trend of the Season” the accompanying picture was me !!!
Wearing styles from bygone years that look fresh, modern & dare I say ..in Vogue
Jelly Shoes.
I still remember the smell of my first plastic shoes. Purchased with pocket money from Woolworths oh the thrill of new shoes ..they were in black and the playground was full of them. Today Ebay if full of them from under ten pounds. The above style is from Envy Shoes
Cost-effective in a kaleidoscope of fruity shades. Wear them with jeans, a maxi dress …hell you can even go swimming in them. Toss in the suitcase for vacation or puddle splashing at Glastonbury
Denim days
These jeans have to be 8 years old at least. Wearing them last week they looked refreshingly different, admittedly the classic accessories help. Denim never goes out of style I almost sent them to the thrift store it’s the same old question ..should women sliding towards 60 be wearing distressed embellished jeans. Judging by the Instagram response …a definite yes.
Summer dresses 2018
These two dresses were unpacked from my Summer box from Zara many years old. It could just be me for the second season I cannot find anything to love at Zara. Have we fallen out of love, believe me, I have visited the London flagships and left empty-handed. Years ago 90% of my wardrobe was brought there, the sales I approached like a military exercise knowing every layout & story better than the staff.
Summer jackets
Full bold colours everything looks good with sunshine and a smile. Coordinated with vintage shades & 1960s jackets…keep accessories simple and luxurious.
