Producing multiple “IT BAGS” every fashionista completed their look or their social feed wearing various versions of the Bottega Veneta Chain or Grab bags made from Italian Nappa leather in multiple colours either slung across the body or tightly held under the arm .

Gold silver brass or plastic the chain appeared in every fashion form boots shoes and trainers the brand N.21 produced ankle wrap chains huge chunky belts or belt detail on coats like the Givenchy coat above

Lauren Hutton “The Lauren”

The 1980 film American Gigolo featured Lauren Hutton carrying a burgundy bag it was renamed after her.In 2016 she strutted along the catwalk the bag in hand in “Gigolo red”

Classic Chanel

Chanel’s square quilted bag with a chain strap was released in February 1955 it is named 2.55 in honour of this date.

Vintage Chanel

Karl Largerfeld took the design further in the 1980s by flattening the chain adding interlocking Cs logos on the front and reworking the bag in different sizes and fabrics from a cigarette case to luggage.

Features 2.55

The bag contain burgundy lining the colour of the uniforms at convent where Chanel grew up.

The outside pocket is for carrying cash I actually put my phone inside here.

The front lock was originally called a Mademoiselle Lock in reference to the fact she never married.

The bag has a quilted diamond effect on the exterior using a running stitch giving the appearance of shape and volume this is believed to be inspired by jockeys riding coats or the stained glass windows of the Abbey Aubazine the 12th century orphanage thar Coco Chanel grew up in
