Chocolate Chic.
It's pretty simple, minimal clothing. It's not flashy or ostentatious, but it's rich-looking, luxurious, chic, and elegant. I’m falling for the understatedly stylish shades of brown.
Hand on heart, I never realised I had so many variations of large brown bags, in various shades of camel, tan, moc-crock, suede, etc. They are wise investments and a colour that never dates. I always believed a lady with a classic dark brown Kelly or Birkin could rule the world…I still do.
Styling brown textures with indulgent sheepskin, vintage suede with the coziness of cashmere lots rich & elegant without trying too hard. Brown looks so good with almost anything ..a classic white shirt, black roll neck i’m obsessed.
This spring, I embrace what I like to call "Cosy Chic," showcased on my Instagram. The vintage Dior bag, a cherished find from eBay 17 years ago, perfectly complements my thrifted trousers. They take on a fresh vibrance alongside my new shoes. And let’s not forget the scarf—it adds an irresistible touch of plushness, cleverly borrowed from a detachable hoodie.
Velvet often gets a bad reputation, but I have no idea why—it's luxurious, comfortable, and offers a rich texture. The gorgeous scarf looks wonderful as well. I bought this coat from L.K. Bennett 23 years ago, and it spends eleven months of the year in a garment bag because it’s so warm and timeless. The shoes from Gucci, are probably the best investment I've made in my wardrobe.
Tan and camel hues gracefully dominate my wardrobe throughout the year. I adore adding faux fur to my ensembles, infusing them with a touch of glamour. My bag, with its luxurious ostrich texture, boasts a longer silhouette than my beloved Birkins. And those cashmere socks? They evoke the timeless elegance of Cary Grant, who, like me, savoured the experience of shopping for his socks at the charming Burlington Arcade in London.
The iconic camel coat is the easiest and classiest classic ever designed. This winter essential layering works for any time of day. I've also collected some good-quality thrift finds, especially vintage handbags, which have stood the test of time. However, they do need to be cleaned and conditioned, with pads inside to help maintain their shape.
Last Christmas, my husband surprised me with this exquisite bag. I vividly recall dragging him to the store, where his playful eye rolls and exasperated sighs mirrored the familiar refrain of "Haven't you got enough bags?" I instantly knew it would be a cherished addition to my collection.
With so many gorgeous bags lining the shelves, picking a favourite feels like an impossible task! I can't help but swoon over those chic suede kitten heels and the stunning chocolate patent flats that are catching my eye. Are you ready to refresh your wardrobe for Spring? But wait—don’t rush to tuck those rich browns away just yet! They might just be the perfect touch for a stylish transition.
