Furry February

February starts with Harper's Bazaar. Yes, it's me, featured alongside some of my favourites, including Grece Ghanem. Winter sheepskin, faux fur, and teddy jackets—lots of layering. I can't argue with Bazaar.

Staying cozy in faux fur & shaggy jackets that make a statement staying warm in the coldest month of the year has never been easier.

I bought the jacket mentioned above in mid-January while looking for warmth, comfort, and a stylish option to wear during a challenging time when managing a virus and trying to maintain my daily routine. I got it at a fantastic price, with a 70% discount during a sale at Marks & Spencer. I truly believe it’s a fabulous purchase.

The versatility of lusciousness the perfect colour thrown over jeans or a black shift dress it’s already a wardrobe staple. Of course, the Big Bird comparisons but its touch-me textures are satisfyingly strokable.

Faux fur I love wearing it …but it comes with a backlash of abuse always. Online comments promoting animal wearing or why you wear it when you tell people you’re a vegetarian etc etc. this cape and hat are Zara. Somebody lifted the images (without asking ) put on Threads had a rant and then asked me to follow them. My life, my choice would I wear real fur absolutely NOT.

This coat is a vintage Biba piece that is unapologetically glamorous. It is made of synthetic material, and I borrowed it for a photoshoot. The reaction to the coat was very positive; I loved wearing it, and it was photographed beautifully, which was the goal of the event. Faux fur, which peaked in popularity during the 1970s, has faced challenges over the years. However, high-quality faux alternatives with better ethical appeal dominate the catwalks every season.

I’ve owned this teddy bear jacket for about 20 years. The colour looks rich and soft it’s vintage it always looks so chic, especially with a brooch or silk scarf. I was influenced at the time by Kate Moss who rocked hers over a beautiful black evening dress the following week she teamed it with a white vest & jeans I was obsessed.

She is known for her love of vintage fashion, and I have seen her many times on Friday mornings at Portobello Road. There truly are no limits when it comes to colour, length, or design. Unfortunately, my space is limited; as I mentioned previously I have started storing my coats in the empty apartment below. Bulky & fragile a vacuum bag has become essential.

Timeless, classic, and exceptionally stylish—this look is my favourite of 2025. It's not something to wear unless you want to make an entrance. The beautiful coat, which is about 12 years old, turns heads. The Prada shoes and bags are even older! That’s the interesting thing about fur; it looks great but taboo. Should I have to tell people that I don’t wear real fur? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, thankfully, the feedback was mostly positive. However, this does make me hesitant to wear it.

Whether you choose a plush, oversized, shaggy coat or a chic furry cape, you can conquer winter's eternal struggle: staying warm while keeping your style intact. As you browse through February fashion magazines, be prepared to discover inspiring figures who set the trends… you never know who you might see.
