Metallic Chic
Let's be honest: the leopard print and burgundy craze has run its course. Investing in fleeting trends is a waste—these styles fade fast, and who wants to blend in with the crowd? It's time to embrace your unique style and shine—why not make a statement?
Imagine my delight when I discovered the allure of metallics. As the holiday season approaches, incorporating gold or silver has become incredibly appealing, adding a sense of luxury and charm to any look.
Transform your winter wardrobe by embracing the allure of gold accessories or dazzling diamanté trim. These eye-catching additions can effortlessly lift the mood on a dreary grey day. By infusing gold or silver into your outfit, you create an engaging look that captivates attention; remember, sometimes the tiniest details have the most significant impact.
The bracelets perfectly enhance the elegance of the vintage clutch! I carefully layered the neutrals for a chic look. After all, it was my birthday lunch, and if you can’t make a statement on your special day, then when else will you?
I purchased this gold coat from a thrift store in New York about 17 years ago. There were two occasions when I considered donating it, but I ultimately changed my mind. Yes, it’s a menopausal miracle that it still fits, but it is timeless and elegant. To break up the look, I added velvet gloves; however, looking back on that day, the alluring earrings stole the show.
By combining various pieces and textures, even a simple sweater can make a stunning statement. While everyone else opted for leopard print or classic black, my outfit turned heads and sparked curiosity all night long. People couldn’t help but ask where I found such a unique look, proving that style is all about creativity and confidence.
This gold sequin jacket looks fabulous, especially when styled with luxurious velvet and faux fur. In the summer, I throw it over a white vest with jeans. Should you wear white denim in the Winter months? I do. The Winter months can be brutal, and falling into the black trap is far too easy.
The image above was taken in mid-November. I take photographs daily, and this has become one of my all-time favourites. The gold shrug and metallic vest shine beautifully in the autumn sunshine. I originally wore a cream roll neck, but I'm so pleased I decided to change.
Finally a huge thank you for the birthday wishes. Hallo 58 another year of more excitement to come. Fasten your seatbelts..
