2022 a new mood, a fresh start. This January begins with hope & optimism, a sense of clarity that translates to a chic, easy, everyday comforting wardrobe.
Cosy, warm and familiar.
What is it about January that you feel the need to reach for the reset button? The festive parties & events are all over. I can wipe clean all traces of sequins, metallics, diamantés etc.
The vibrant outfits are replaced with soft, warm familiar cosy January staples.
Happy feet
Is there anything more comforting and toasty than reaching for warm sheepskin boots? The familiar casualness, like returning old friends. I love my Uggs they come out every year. Worn below with black jeans an understated chic and an Instagram post that was very popular.

Rainy days
Joggers and leggings are glamorised with knee-high boots and a soft cashmere loose sweater. From a day to night look add heels and a tight-fitting t-shirt or a white staple shirt.
Favourite boot looks
Bottega style.
Practical, colourful and my favourite Winter look. From leather trousers to pencil skirts I will continue to wear through to Spring.

Back to simplicity
When in doubt choose black. The shortcut to chic that goes with every look. Below January trainers with New Year hangover glasses. A sharp white shirt will highlight any look bringing a freshness to any outfit.
In my quest to buy less and better, I purchased the above black & white sweater from Zara in December. The retail sales after Christmas I have decided point-blank to avoid and follow my own advice.
Read more below on why I don’t go to sales.
Keep it simple.
A well cut trench, the non plus of tailoring, in a perfect shade. Good basics are important, now more than ever.
The January wardrobe.
The essential mix of classic looks that will never let you down. Practical, comfortable & because not all months are this forgiving take the chance to hide in your duvet coat, tuck unwashed hair under hats and wear mix-matched colourful socks inside your boots.
Happy New Year.
